A Great Look Into Our Past – Stillwater

I read though a book tonight that was extremely fascinating.
Stillwater: Images of America by Linda Sanders.

I couldn’t put it down !  I live in Stillwater and i didn’t really know much about it’s past.
Stillwater has a rich American history in both the American Revolution and industry.
But this book has great info and photographs of the area dating back about 150 years. we even had a “first lady of the United States” who was form Stillwater.

Pick it up when you get a chance.
you can buy it at the Stillwater Public Library or on line here… and i was told there will be a book signing on March 31st at 6pm. with Linda Sanders.

Starving Jesus

Starving I’ve been hammering through several books right now and “Starving Jesus” is one well worth the time. Craig Gross and J.R. Mahon open your eyes in a fresh boldness.. or maybe you can call it bluntness that is very in your face. This cleverly titled book really challenges you to get out of your comfortable and lazy “God box” and actually do something. Seeing the people around you for who they are.. God’s Children.
